Greg Bullard, Senior Pastor
Greg has been our pastor since we began in 2002. He comes from Alabama where he received two bachelor’s degrees from The University of Alabama in Huntsville. He has served on church staffs in Alabama and as Senior Pastor in Memphis and one other church in Nashville. He has a rich history in counseling services and pastoral services. His previous career was as a systems analyst for the Fortune 100 Corporation, Deloitte & Touche. His passion is to bring people into healthy relationships with God and one another. He is an avid Alabama fan. In 2011, Greg and his husband, Brian, became the proud fathers of a newborn they named Micah Briant. The family has two Chihuahuas named Flea and Baby.
Linda Brendlinger, Associate Care Pastor
Linda has been a mainstay with Covenant of the Cross since our founding in October 2002. She received her Master’s Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. Before moving to Tennessee, for eleven years she was on the ministry staff of a large church in Arkansas. This gave her the opportunity to develop the skills that she brings to her current position. For many people Linda is ”the face of Covenant”, since she is often one of the greeters and her gentle smile is one that invites people in.
Benton Stokes, Worship Director
Benton Stokes started his musical journey in a national contemporary Christian band. From there, he began his journey in the songwriting world, penning songs for everyone from Point of Grace to Sandi Patty to Natalie Grant. Benton is a accomplished artist, songwriter and father of three. Check out Benton in the studio here.
Jackie Holtz, Administrator
Jackie spent 30 years in various types of management. She spent many years as a multi-unit supervisor for a national quick service restaurant chain. These positions enabled her to develop many of the abilities she uses in her work for Covenant of the Cross; juggling multiple projects, managing budgets and expenditures, interaction management, and productivity within tight time constraints. However, it could be argued that her best traits are her persistent cheerfulness and outgoing personality.
